this is utah’s blog-post. we were there for two days, passing through vernal (7/8) and flaming gorge (7/9). Passing into Utah seemed to be a quick change from Colorado. tall dirt mesas, hot, desert-like, but still very pretty. A town, Dinosaur, right before coming into Utah was all about some dinosaurs. We were next to a very big quarry, that we unfortunately couldn’t enter, that had tons of dinosaur fossils - a very well known national monument.
Biking through flaming gorge was awesome! I was sweeping so i took a lot of pictures. The ascent was fairly long with many switchbacks but the descents were faaast. We camped that night on some more wood-like campground than we have in the past. WE had a fire pit! love fire, smores, and warm fuzzies - these are notes people choose to write that we put in a box and pick at random to read once a week, anonymous or not. They can be encouraging, nice, funny, etc. always love to camp
