our first day into the rockies! it started off really steep. once I reached our highly anticipated 10 mile climb there were many random riders on it. I talked with three riders on the way up but stuck with one strong 60 year old. We talked the majority of the way… it’s cool meeting the locals through biking. We ran across another cross country bike group - 4k for cancer. It was so exciting being back in the mountains, especially climbing to 9000 something feet. The descent into estes park, CO was faaaast. we stayed at eagle rock school at an elevation of about 7,500.
