hot ride today! and humid. we had a 35 mile portion of the ride on a gravel trail that was road bike friendly. The shade saved us from the heat for sure. Stopping on the trail for some festivities was fun but the mosquitoes had no mercy… I have never seen so many in my life - the swamp on both sides of the trail probably did not help.
Overall the ride was short (55 miles) yet fun and we got to ride the majority with no worries of cars around us. Tomorrow is probably a 5 AM wake up following with 80+ miles; better get to sleep soon. adios folks
